APOLLO JUNCTION: PERFECT PLAN - SINGLE REVIEW

Not following a conventional route as most bands with a band name like Apollo Junction, I honestly wasn't sure what to expect and I also had certain thoughts about their music. Coming out of a record label set up in a garage in Leeds the work the Shed Load Record boys have produced has immediately blown my expectations out of the water. Perfect Plan, the first single from their third studio album has a clear nod to 90s indie music and an anthemic chorus enhanced by a superb string arrangement.
Perfect Plan, set for release on October 28th is one that can only be described as big guitars, big drums and soaring vocals. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the brilliantly put-together single. Amazingly executed instrumental lines gave me a huge throwback to some of the music my parents listened to as I was growing up. One part of the music on this utterly outstanding single which is worth pointing out is the beautiful vocal harmonies.
Speaking to Apollo Junction here is what they had to say:
"The band has put everything they have into this track, including their blood sweat and tears (of joy!) Big guitars, big drums and soaring vocals, this single comes with a bang."
There has never been a better time than now to catch Apollo Junction live, with further singles likely to emerge from their forthcoming album which promises moody guitar-heavy tracks, with soaring choruses backed up by some unbelievable rock'n'roll drums, all of which describes Apollo Junction perfectly. With all this going on, I am certain that Apollo Junction will discover the meaning of success in the very near future.
The album is set for release in 2023 with the band stating that it is their "best work they have recorded to date". I along with other fans and the band themselves are looking forward to the release.
